Reading: Ephesians 3:14-21
More than any other kind of literature, I really view Scripture as God’s love letter to man. From that fall, He has pursued us, sought us, and continues to do so. We put “SO LOVED” there, just like how it was written in John 3:16 because it expresses that weight. It’s not like any kind of love we know. It is strong- stronger than our love for Him, stronger than ANYTHING we know in this world. It’s the kind of love that brought the all powerful God subject to death on a cross… just to reconcile us back to Himself.
There is a level of relationship that God wants to have with us.. deeper, stronger, more. Paul’s prayer is that we would know just how long, wide, deep, high His love is for us. And this is just but impossible to measure and grasp.
So how do we get to know this kind of love? The response is worship.
To worship Him is to immerse yourself in His love. And to immerse yourself in that love means immersing yourself in Scripture. We know this love by continually hearing the Word, by meditating on it, by reciting it. To worship Him is to offer our whole life in return.
To worship Him is to immerse yourself in His love. And to immerse yourself in that love means immersing yourself in Scripture.
God wants to do more than we could ever imagine. And honestly, this melts my heart in different ways. The almighty God, who has already given us the VERY thing that we most need in this life, is still able to do more for me. He wants to pursue me. He wants to meet me where I am right now, and rescue me. He wants me. And this love letter is for YOU too. Oh, what a love that is!
How does the love of God look like in your life in this difficult time?
What is your response to Him?
